Banana Biscotti: How to Make Them at Home
There’s nothing quite like a warm cup of coffee and a homemade biscotti. It’s even better when that biscotti are made with ripe bananas, chocolate, and roasted walnuts. Yum!
You only need a few ingredients and about an hour of your time. Let’s get started!
Ingredients
To make banana biscotti at home, you will need the following ingredients:
360g all-purpose flour
280g sugar
Two XL eggs
One stick of butter
Three ripe mashed bananas
2 tsp of banana powder
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup of roasted walnuts
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Add the eggs and mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, banana powder, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
Fold in the chocolate and roasted walnuts.
Divide the dough and shape each half into a log about 12 inches long and 3 inches wide. Place the logs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the logs from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes before slicing them into 1-inch pieces.
Place the slices back on the baking sheet, cut side down, and bake for an additional 12 minutes at 325 degrees. Let cool completely before serving.
